Listen to the Podcast
Hey, this is Sasha and thanks for joining me here for another episode on backstage income where I share with you how to build and grow a profitable business.
In today’s episode, I’m going to share with you how to take your YouTube channel and transform it into a business — more specifically, a six-figure business.
I’ll share with you the blueprint, the concept, but you have to implement it.
I’m going to share with you some thoughts and insights about what most people do when it comes to a YouTube business and the way you really want to start thinking about it to convert it into a business.
You have YouTube right here in the middle.
What they do is they start looking at ads to make revenue. You might get sponsors — which is another way. You might get into donations.
All these things limit you unless you get bigger sponsorships or bigger donations, it’s tough.
My whole end goal with this presentation is to give you some insight to start diversifying your income — that’s the smart approach. You’ve got all these eggs and you got this basket. You want all these eggs to come into your bank account or money basket.
How do you do that?
I want you to start looking at things like YouTube as a medium.
Rather than looking this way start backing it up and use YouTube as part of the platform.
When you look at a business, you want to start thinking about it as a gateway to distributing your content.
- You can use YouTube
- You can use podcasts because you’re already creating YouTube videos
- You can use a blog
- Do pins on Pinterest
- Also, Twitter
How do you make a podcast?
You got audio right there so you convert your YouTube to a podcast.
Now, you’ve got your text from your audio
You could take whatever you’re saying and convert it to text. That’s how you make a blog.
You just design something and distribute it.
Create a little tweet and start tweeting about it.
You’re distributing things to connect to your customer or your target customer or your visitor — that’s ultimately what you’re trying to do.
The big difference between looking at things as a business versus just YouTube
What many people do — they just do YouTube, make videos that make money.
In our case, you got to start looking at things by ramping up the products or services.
If you don’t have a product or a service, you’re missing out.
The reason for that is because it doesn’t allow you to stack your income.
In the YouTube space, we do pretty much education.
I enjoy making videos about education or learning things. In this case, we have:
- Coaching — if people want one-on-one
- Slowly launching classes
- Could be webinars
You continue to dig deeper.
In addition to this one area of our business, we also offer other services.
Because a lot of our education deals with books and publishing, we could do a done-for-you service.
The five-star author is all about book covers, editing, and the like. The team that already does this stuff for me can work on your stuff as well.
We also have things for local businesses
We deal with a lot of smaller companies’ websites. If you’re interested in that, you can go to https://localdrip.com/ and get a website there as well.
It’s another form of business that we have and we continue to expand these things to grow.
The whole point and goal are you’re getting income from different sources — that’s how you do it.
that’s how you get to a six-figure business.
