You might be wondering if you want to make a short quick content or a long-form content.
Well I think there’s a lot of different trade-offs to doing one or the other.
When you do some long-form content there’s just usually more substance behind it and some of the people that are looking to dig deeper they like the long-form content but the reality is at the beginning you’re just getting started and you have no clue where you’re going to fit in into the world of your audience space.
Some people enjoy short form content and other people enjoy long-form content.
It’s like dogs versus alligators so when you look at a dog and it sees a squirrel or something like a cat running across the road then they want to jump at it and get it and go after it whereas an alligator is much more patient, they will be willing to wait and wait and wait.
Some people are interested on a four minute video while others are into 30 minute videos.
It also depends on the subject matter because if I’m looking to do something more financial I might have more alligators because people want to know depth.

If I’m looking at court lawsuit that kind of thing people want to go in depth, anything related to money a lot of times when you have that depth people really resonate with it and now you get some insight.
So there’s a mix and a blend and that’s simply because there’s a mix of audience the people who are new to your YouTube channel will probably just want a quick little hit and a quick YouTube view.
The other people are maybe more in-depth detailed, they want to get more insight and really into the subject and spend the time because they want the details so it really comes down to your audience.
People want a long-form content depending on the subject and number two they want more depth and details because that’s what they’re paying for.
Understanding your audience is really the key.
That’s what I want to share with you is that it just depends on your audience, it depends on who’s watching your videos and what do they hope to get out of it and what you’re targeting if you’re doing a course it might be that people are interested in the details.
If you’re doing like a YouTube video it might be that people want some short content but other people that are just really interested in the nitty-gritty of things and probably want the longer form content.
From a YouTube perspective, yes YouTube likes nice long content and they like a lot of it just because they want content but from your audience perspective you also have to think about them as well.
