Listen to the Podcast
In today’s post, I want to share with you how I got over 100,000 YouTube subscribers, and it’s not as complicated as many other people make it out to be.
There’s a lot of talk and hype when it comes to:
- building your YouTube channel
- building more subscribers
- getting more views
My YouTube Channel about Investing – TradersFly
You might think that there’s probably 257 different things that you could end up doing to getting you more subscribers. But ultimately, there’s one main thing that you need to focus on, and that is giving value to other people.
This is the second channel that I made – TradersFly
That one is an investing channel. I do have at this point 128,000 YouTube subscribers. This channel focuses a lot more on investing, trading, and the stock market.
And Backstage Income channel is about building a business. It’s about wealth, money, and passive income. When you’re looking at building your channel, I always stress that you should be focusing on building a business around it.
The right approach is building a business around or using YouTube as part of your business. That’s what you want to think about as you continue to evolve and grow your channel.
The Key is in Giving Value
You might be wondering what the big magic moment is. It’s about value.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Can you add value to your customers?
- Can you add value to your subscribers?
- Can you add value to your viewers?
That’s important because eventually people that are searching for you, they click and then they view. And after that viewership, they become the subscriber. From that point, that subscriber might end up being a customer.
Hopefully, you have a product or service in place to be able to do that. If you don’t, start thinking of one at the moment, and as you continue to evolve your channel and business. Start thinking about it and how is it that you can go beyond just a subscriber.
That’s what I want you to think about. How you take this customer to another level? It is all about value. The reason people click on to your videos or search for your videos is that they are looking to get something out of it.
They are looking for value. The reason they watch your videos is that they’re looking to solve a problem.
Maybe they want to find out:
- How to fix my kitchen sink
- How to grow more grass in a bad spot
They are looking to find a solution to the problem. And maybe they’re looking to enhance or build a presence with the website. In that case, that is also some value.
And after they became a subscriber, they are getting tips or getting insight from you. How do you take that value further?
Well, maybe you could do it for them. Perhaps you could build a website for them. That’s what it comes down to. It’s all about adding value to your content. There’s a lot of techniques, and I’ll show you all these techniques and tactics for getting more subscribers.
Tactics for More Subscribers
You could publish longer videos. That’s an excellent option because longer videos are going to increase watch time. Watch time allows you to get ranked better, and all of a sudden, you might get more subscribers from that.
You could reply to all the comments. And if you reply to every single comment, people come back as they get notified for the comment, and then you get potentially another subscriber.
Use playlists. People watch playlist, and they are on your videos more, they build a relationship, and then they have a chance to subscribe. Have a YouTube subscribe channel icon. You can have a channel trailer.
The smart decision might be optimizing titles and descriptions. Post videos on other networks like your blog or Pinterest. Give it more exposure, more watch time.
Add call to action. In that case, when you tell people to subscribe, they are more likely to subscribe. And of course, focus on the quality. If you have better production in your videos that can help you ramp up more subscribers as well.
That’s because people are fascinated and interested in those kinds of things. All those things do help and contribute. But in the end, it still comes down to value.
The most important factors:
- Are you adding value to your viewers?
- Are you giving them something that can take them to the next level and improve their life?
- Can you help them to save their money?
- Can you give them an idea
All those things elevate the person, the viewer, and that’s what turns subscriber. Also, entertainment is another form of value. Give them happiness and give them peace. Give them mind blown experience.
That’s what I want you to think about when it comes to getting more views and subscribers. Of course, you have to publish video content on a consistent regular basis.
Adding playlists, adding a channel iconic channel trailer. All those things do help and add up. They make a channel look professional and make your channel look more serious.
But in the end, it comes down to someone else get something out of it. Something of value. If they do, chances are they will probably subscribe.
I hope you found it helpful and insightful to taking your channel or taking your business to that next stage.
