How to Build a Massive Email List by Networking & Collaboration

I’ll show you how to build a massive email list through networking and collaboration.

I’m going to give you some thoughts and insights, and if you’re brand new to our channel, check out some of the Freebies that we have on our Backstage Income website.

There’s a lot of great PDF, checklists, guides, and formulas that can ramp up your business.

Building an Email List

An email list is key and golden because when you have that email list, you have all these targeted people that are interested in your product or service.

You could email them time and time again and offer them your products. That’s the whole key behind building an email list. You have a customer list of people that you could go to.

It’s like having a lawn business where I have this list of 30 accounts, and I know that next week they’re going to need their lawn cut again. And the week after that. That’s your targeted list or email list.

The bigger the list and the more targeted, the more helpful it is to continue to ramp things up. How do you build your list by networking and collaborating?

Well, if you’ve seen or heard or listen to podcasts or interviews, you’ll know that one person interviews one person. Then another person interviews another person.

  • How does that work?

Here’s what happens. When you have a website or company A and Company B, one company wants to interview the other company.

Let’s say your company A wants to interview somebody in company B. And you might have an email list of 500 people. They might have an email list of 750 people. Now you crossbreed these things and this email list.

I’ll email your newsletter list, saying: “Hey, you’ll be on this show,” and I’ll email my list with the new content. And now, you could crossbreed that email list. Maybe not the full 750 people would come back over to the 500. 

But maybe a few of these audiences, people, viewers, or listeners would come on to this email list. Now that 500, you could probably add in another hundred. In that case, this email list gets taken to 600 total.

That’s what happens. And maybe you can add another 50 right here. Now you’ve got an email list of 800.

You start crossbreeding and cross-pollinating from one to the other. Let’s say your list is at maybe 600. And this guy’s list is perhaps only 300. You do another interview, and from him, you might only get let’s say, 20 people. Now your listing is up to 620.

And over here, his list goes up to maybe another 10 or 20 as well. Or maybe 50 because your list is a lot bigger. Don’t worry about just getting people that are bigger than yours. It’s all about just networking, collaborating, and getting a little bigger.

His email list gets up to 350. You could see that this slowly with time continues to grow. And if you’re doing webinars, here’s the cool thing about webinars.

Doing Webinars

Let’s say you’re doing a webinar. You could crossbreed and cross-pollinate on a webinar, which is a little bit different.

You could say that if you attend the webinar, your list of 620 and their list of 900 anybody who attends the webinar gets on both lists. It’s another way to approach things.

Let’s say 200 people attend the webinar. And maybe 50 or 75 from you and 120 or so from another person. All of a sudden, let’s say everybody gets an extra added 150 people to their list from between both of these.

Now you have 770, and here we add 150, so now you’re up to 1050 people for this person. That’s the way it works when you’re networking and collaborating. You’re creating synergy, and it’s not about finding people that are not related to you in the competitive space.

It’s all about working with your competitors to creating these nice network effects in that way; you create a win-win situation. Some people from their list might be interested in your stuff. Some people from your stuff might be interested in their stuff.

And that’s how it works, and that’s why you see a lot of interviews. That’s what it comes down to. With time you if you’ve listened to a lot of interviews, you’ll notice that they say the same things over and over again the first 10 or 20 minutes.

It’s a repeat of what is it that they’re going to talk about some of their back story. And that’s interesting to know. But it’s not always actionable things that you could take. And the last 10 minutes is maybe the promotion of their stuff their courses their products.

That’s the way that they’re typically conducted. But that’s how you build a massive email list, and that’s how you grow that email list. And ramp things up.

When you’re sharing these leads, you get all of a sudden 150 or 500 or 1000 new people, rather than trying to trickle them in from some of the freebies that you do.

Unless you’re doing paid advertising and then ramping things up through cash in injections, I hope this gave you some things to think about, some concepts to ramping things up through networking and collaboration. This is how it works.

Final Word

If you find that over time (after ten of these interviews), it doesn’t work, then move on to something else. Try something else that may work better for your niche or your industry.
