Do some analysis. You could get traffic from Facebook, Instagram, Craigslist, Google, or YouTube. There’s so many places where you can get traffic.
But the key question is — are you going to get that traffic fast or are you going to get that traffic slow?
In many mediums, whether it’s Facebook Instagram, there’s a fast way to do it and also a slow way to do it.
You might be thinking — well of course fast is better — but not always the case.

With that, let’s take a look at some fast versus slow traffic approaches.
If you look at getting website traffic extremely fast, one of the fastest ways to do it is to pay for it.
If you had $10,000, of course, you could pay Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest — all these kinds of different websites to sponsor you or sponsor your ad. Then, you redirect traffic.
Remember, you’re not generating traffic. All you’re doing is redirecting traffic to your site — that’s the whole big picture behind getting traffic.
The slow approach is you do things in the “free way”.
You use the resources that you have.
- You write content
- You reach out to other blogs, other people
- Comment on other forms
And slowly, that traffic will come.
There are thousands of tactics.
As a business owner, you have a couple of resources at your disposal.
Number one is MONEY
If you have a ton of money, the ads are the way to go.
Because you got tons of money to blow, you could test things, and it’s the fastest, but you’re using a resource.
TIME is another resource
If you have a lot of time, but you don’t have a lot of money, it’s great to write content.
and of course ENERGY
Energy could be a combination of time, but energy is how much work you put into it. It could be your skillsets, as well.
Some people do a combination.
They might do a few ads on Facebook but then write a little bit of content, so they promote the content that they write.
It slowly picks up the snowball routine.
But eventually, what’s going to happen — especially as a solopreneur or even a person with just a couple of people on your team — what’s going to happen is you’ll eventually find what’s a better balance and a better fit for you.
Is it going to be a fast approach? Maybe you’re spending a little bit of money making some connections and getting a lot of people there.
Or are you going to have to spend a little bit more on your time writing content, reaching out and doing some of the legwork?
When you’re doing the fast approach
Remember, that a lot of times what happens is
You buy hit, it comes to you, you get that view and then it’s done — there’s no relationship built.
It takes a lot of time. It takes a lot of money to build that relationship.
The slow approach
When you’re writing content, what happens is
People consistently come back to you time and time again. And with time, that relationship builds.
There’s always these trade-offs in these marketplaces.
But the question is — what resources do you have available?
Is it money?
Is it time?
Or is it your energy or skillset?
Are you good at something? If you are, then take a look at your skillset and use that to your advantage.
If you got a ton of time — use that to your advantage.
If you got a lot of money, then, of course, use that to your advantage.
All these things just come down to you personally.
But as far as getting quick traffic, you could create, let’s say a Facebook group, just on Facebook and slowly build that group. That audience absolutely for free.
But if you got money, of course, you could promote it with advertising dollars and throw a bunch of cash into it. It may or may not work, but it’s the faster approach.
It just comes down to the resources you have available.
