How to Design a Print Book Cover for Amazon’s Createspace with Photoshop

Hey it’s Sasha Evdakov, and welcome to backstage income, where I show you how to make money behind the scenes. In this week’s video, what I want to do is share with you how to create this exact book cover for Createspace or for a print based book.


Now you can use the same concepts and some of the things and techniques that we’re going to use to create this book cover for creating your e-book cover as well, but I’m going to share with you how I created this book cover, as well as creating it for the spine and the back of the book, specifically to printing guidelines, and also share with you how to change this book cover and transform it into the inverse colors, so you’re going to see it in a black background, with also a picture. Something like this, which looks a little bit different.

Let’s get started, let’s go to the screen, I’m going to share with you how to do this in Photoshop, so you will need some basic Photoshop skills, but we’re going to try to keep things as simple as possible, just to give you some creative juices about how I go on creating this covers.


Welcome to the computer screen, and one of the first things that we want to do is download the template for the size of our book. Now we usually want to do this after our book is pretty much mostly written, and that’s because the page size is going to affect the template. Now if you have the proper ratios, or at least you know about roughly what size your book is going to be, then you can at least estimate and then modify your cover later, but typically designing the cover after your book is complete is usually a good idea.

For our example we’re going to be using a Createspace cover template. So if you go to Createspace cover template, just search for that, then you hit this first link and once we get there, you’ll see that it allows you to generate some files for the size, so depends on the type of book that you’re going to have, we’re going to do the black and white, then you can select the trim size, we’ll do the 7” x 10” and how many pages. So for our purposes we’ll put in 246 pages, paper color’s going to be white, because all these different things will affect the book cover. If in the future you add pages, you may need to go to 256, then you can make that adjustment, get a new template, and then stretch it a little bit, but if you roughly know about how man pages, then it’s a good idea to start with the appropriate page count. So what I’m going to do is just build the template, and then what I can do is just download the files that I can use.


Inside the zip file you’ll notice two different files, and what I want to do is, I just want to open up the PDF, so I’m going to drag that into Photoshop, and we’re going to open it up. So you can see here, we import the PDF, we have a pages option image or 3D, we’ll just select the pages, leave all the settings the way they are, and now you can see I have my template.


We’re going to start building out on this page, exactly our layout, our cover and our template. Now in our case, we’re doing a 246 page book, now the spine is going to adjust… it’ll give you some room, whether you have a 246 page, 248 page book, maybe a 242 page book, the spine size will be the same, but if you notice all these lines, these are just your template guidelines, so this dotted line right here is really going to show you where the book is going to be trimmed and cut, and because it’s going to go all the way to the edge, you want to make sure it goes past it, and this is considered, or called a bleed.

Here what I’m going to do is, I’m going to start creating some of the things to get a baseline idea for our book and how it’s going to look, so I’m just going to start putting things down, and then I can slowly start adjusting and repositioning things later.


The first thing I’m going to do, so you can see exactly where all the trim lines are, I’m going to make a new layer, drag that underneath, and we’ll just fill it with white color. So the way to do that is we can go to edit, fill, and then we go to white, we fill it and there it is, so now you can see a little bit better where the cut lines are, if you go ahead and draw these lines or guidelines from the ruler, you’ll be able to set them exactly to these lines where they’re going to be cut if that’s helpful for you. And I find that this is good for at least the… Right there for the spine, so if you go ahead and do that, you at least know where, or what area to design and create your spine. So we’re going to use these guidelines, because in our final process we’re not going to need this template, we’re going to remove it, because otherwise it will print all these things on that template.


To get things started and get things moving, since I already know how my book is going to look, I really, what I want to do is put in a folder, so we’re going to hit this folder area, we’re going to create a folder so we can organize things, this will be our background items, and then one of the first things that I’m going to do is, we’re going to create a yellow based color for this. Now, we can change that color later, but what I’ll do is, I’ll create that yellow based color, we’ll do edit, fill, we’ll do the foreground color, and we’ll go ahead and do it that way, if I want to change it, I can also do blending options, right click that layer, blending options, go to color overlay, and then we’ll select a yellow from here, and then we can kind of tweak it based on the color that we want. It’s just a little bit of time to play around with that, based on the colors that you want, and then we have something set up.


I’ll turn off the guides for now, so now we have our book template file right here, and what I’ll do is, I’ll just start positioning and laying things out for the book, I’m going to select the color, I’m going to put in my title right here, and I already know which font I want to use, so I’m going to go ahead and make sure we use that here in a minute, so we’ll do the font, it’s going to be Oswald, and this is going to be free from Google, if you want that font, so we’ll go ahead and make sure it’s not italic, and we’ll also make it capital. So “245 money” and then we’ll have to create another layer for that, for the next line, so I duplicate the layer, drag it over, add in my next part of the title, expand this “Money making” I’ll go to the next line, duplicate the layer “stock chart” and then finally we’ll do the last one, we’ll duplicate it, and then we’ll do “setups”.


If I would’ve done this all in one layer, I’ll show you what’s going to happen. If I go “245 money making stock chart setups” as I start expanding this, and I start going to, let’s say 155 or 111 font size, you’ll see that things start stretching between the top and the bottom and the alignment, so there’s going to be a lot of playing that you have to do, whereas splitting it individually allows me to play with them together, so it allows me to play with them individually.


What we’ll do here is we’ll just go ahead and, you know start making adjustments, so what I can do is adjust the font size, or what I could do is click control T to transform, and I just want to make it nice and big. My goal for the title or for the front cover of the book is to get it attention getting, and I want an attention color and also an easy to read title.

Here we are stretching this out, and we’ll probably have to move all these down as well, just because the font size is getting bigger, we’ll make slight alignment adjustments later, but here we go, we’ll go to about 100 in font size, maybe 122, keep going, 155, so 150, then there we go, that’s probably about a good size, if I zoom out a little bit, now can start tweaking a little bit with the transform tool, which is control T, as you’re on the layer, or the other way is edit, and then you go to transform, free transform, and now we’ll bring that box up.

So “stock chart” and again, we can stretch it, so I’m going to just stretch that as big as I need it, and then here we go, and then finally we got “setups”, we’ll put this one on the right, and go ahead and stretch this out a little bit, but we don’t want this one as big, so we’ll just put it right there on the end, and there we go.


The next part I want to do is, I want to go ahead and organize this into a group, just so it makes things easier in the future, so this is the front text over here, and we’re going to make sure this all goes into the front text, and we’ll drag it out of that background layer, so that way the background is all there.

What I want to do is change the blending options to a little bit of a… let’s say bronze color, so that way it matches a little bit better, so what we’ll do is, we’ll go to more of an orange, and then we’ll do something like a dark, dark orange color, and that kind of gives it a bronze look and feel, so there we go, kind of have that, maybe a little bit lighter, so something like along those lines, so browner color. So now we have our title, so what we can do there is reduce it a little bit to give us a little bit of cushion on that spine of that that book along with the edges for the trimming, so the next thing that we want to do is go ahead and finish out the rest of the cover for the critical pieces, and that way we can do some styling and other things like that at the end. So I want to put always the critical pieces on top, and then later we’ll go to the little details.


You have to keep in mind that we do have the ISBN number over here on that lower part, but in general we want to make sure we have the big critical pieces down first.

Here what I want to do is go ahead and finish this out, so we’ll go at the subtitle “Profiting from” and that’ll be our font in, let’s see, Meriwether… we’ll use something like that, we can do italic. Ok, so that’s looking ok, we’ll adjust the styling in a little bit, and then we’ll go ahead and add our subtitle “Penny stocks” ok; we’ll go back to the primary font there, Oswald regular. Then we’ll go to the standard font size, we’ll do something around 100 here, then we’ll reduce that to kind of match up the other one right there. What we can also do is stretch the letter a little bit, so the way to do that is to go ahead and adjust this spacing sideways, so you can see as I bump it up to 60 or 80, you can see it starts stretching the spacing in between, so if we do 20, that should give us some room, and there we go, we’ll adjust this, move that over here, reduce this, something along those lines, and then what I want to do next is go ahead and add a few lines for dividing this, or kind of make it a little bit more about primary. So what I’ll do is, I’ll take that rectangle tool up here, go ahead and draw that out, and I can do edit and fill, but first I need to create a new layer, so we’ll do edit, fill, foreground color, we’ll do the exact same thing, we’ll just move it down, and we’ll do it one more time, of course you could duplicate the layer, it’s up to you.

Now we have kind of a little bit of a separator there, move that “Profiting from”, move that up a little bit, and we have “Penny stocks”, so there’s our layer for the lines, we’ll just rename that “lines profiting in”, and we’ll put it in the front text, so that way it changes the color, and that’s where I want it all in there, and “profiting” as well, we’ll put it all in that folder, and you can see the color changes, so keeping the color kind of symmetrical throughout the book.


There we go, that’s looking so far so good.ahead and reduce that, ok, so something along those lines, remember, we want to give it some good spacing there on the back cover, because of the binding for that spine. Then we’ll also do maybe something like “about the author” and in my case we’ll do my name, so we’ll do… make it all capital.
So far that’s looking pretty good, what I want to do is reduce the size of those just a little bit, I think they might be a little bit too big, so we’ll reduce that size, we’ll go ahead and shift, shift the “about the book” a little bit higher, so now we’re about right there, keep in mind we have that little ISBN bar code over there, if I unhide that layer, you can see how it’s starting to look on the book, on the book template.


So far so good, we’ll go ahead and create and add some text here for the about the book part next, so in our case what I want to do is I want to take the text tool right here and I’m just going to draw a big box right here, top to bottom, we’ll paste the text IN, since I already have it pre-done, I’m not going to worry about the color at the moment, but what I am looking for is the length of the text and how far it’s going to go, we’re using lato as the font, of course you can adjust the font type, font size, depending on your description and how you want it to look, but as far as a basic book, that’s how you do it.

Now what we’re going to do is add in the “about me” text, or “about the author” text, So in this case we’re going to do the same thing, we’ll draw a little rectangle, I’m going to make it a little smaller because we’re going to add in a picture, which we’ll adjust here slowly, and again, I’ll paste it in from my clip board, but again, you can type it out, depending on, you know, your process, but this is something you’ll have to think about prior to developing and writing all this… you may have to go fine tune it.

And then what I’m going to do is draw a guideline on the edge of this text, on this text right here, to give me a little space, and I want to match both of these up, so that they’re in alignment, ok? So there we go, there we have it, so I want to take the same color from the right side, from the cover side on that front part, and put it to the back, because you can see we have black and white here, whereas there we have the bronze, so we’ll right click, and then we’ll copy layer styles, we’ll paste that into the back side, and there you go, you can see it puts those in right away into the back.


It is coming along really nicely and really well, I’m going to add a picture right here, and that’s going to kind of complete this little author section, so here what I’m going To do is drag my photo over, and this is the one we’ll use and we’ll just reduce that, control T again, and what I want to do now is kind of crop it, so I’ll go from the nose, or a little to the right of the nose, so that way I can get the shoulder, we’ll do a little box around that, and then right here, and then what we’ll do is just hit the mask, and once you hit the mask it just crops everything else out. So now what we can do is reposition it, so I can position it here, and I can also reduce it, control T to reduce it more, so there we’re kind of slowly starting to compose the back side of the book.

I want to reduce it a little bit more, it’s not a s critical to me to have my face and picture on the book, I know there are some authors that love to have a big picture of themselves, for me it’s always the importance of the message or the teaching that I’m doing. So, you can redesign this book in a different way to really showcase yourself or your photo for your book if you want, but in our case we’re just doing something simple.


Now the next thing is we want to create and work on the spine, so we have our back cover is over here, and I didn’t put this in the back cover because it will change the color, we have our front cover right here, we have our background right there, so I want to work on the spine next, so in the spine what we’re going to do is create a new folder, we’ll call it spine, delete that additional layer, so all we’re going to do here is just put in the title of the book, we’ll put in the author name, and really that’s about it, there’s no much else that I’m going to do with the design of the spine.

We’ll do the same thing “245” we’ll use the Oswald font right here, take the italics off, and then what we’ll do is we’ll rotate it, so again, control T, we’ll make it bigger, and to continue the process we’re going to still include the same thing in the front text, we’re going to take those layer styles, put it on the spine, paste the layer styles, that way we have a similar font style there or color style, ok, and I’m going to reduce it just a little bit so it’s within the spine of the book, ok? And then the next part what we want to do is, we can do is, we can actually duplicate this layer, since it’s already rotated, I can move it over and now what I can do is type in my next phrase, select it all, control A, hit the transform tool for making it all capital, and now I can reduce it, I’ll reduce it, so that’s about good right there, we’ll duplicate this layer, we’re copying it, and then what we’ll do is we’ll go ahead and “stock chart setups” this needs to be a little smaller since the upper part is a little bit bigger, and the way we can play with this to make it line up is we can reduce the spacing for the lines here and do it maybe -10, and then for the spacing here, what we can do is make the spacing 20 or even 40, so now it starts spacing those out a little bit more, and make this part bigger, so now that’s going to be a little better on the alignment, so there we go, we line that up, we’ll select both of them, hold shift, click the other one, that selects both of them, and just use the arrow keys and the shift key to move that text around.


Now that we have that first part, what we’ll do on the next part is, we’ll just duplicate a layer again for the subtitle, and what we can do here is we just type in our subtitle, there we go, and we can make this part a little bit bigger, just to take up a little bit more space, there we go, since this book is part of a series, we can reduce the letter spacing, there we go, so move it down. And finally the last bit, what I want to do is put the author right here, and again, you duplicate the layer, we move it down, hold shift to keep it in alignment and now I’ll just type it out, and here you can use the same font or smaller, again, I prefer the book items to be larger or the book items to be more prominent, rather than name, so for me I’ll go ahead and use something a little bit… of a different font style, so we’ll just use Gotham, and if you don’t have this font, you can go ahead and use a different font, that’s perfectly ok, we’ll reduce that font size, make it nice and small for just basic purposes.


And there it is, there’s kind of our side, there’s our front, there’s our back, now what I want to do is style it, now if you don’t know about the stock market it’s a lot of charts, a lot of bars, and things like that, so really that’s what we’re going to do to style this, is to input bars and to input a little bit of a sun flayer here in the back, and that’s really all there is to it for this book.

I’m going to show you how do that fairly quickly, and if you do it the longer way or the more tedious way, it doesn’t matter, it just takes you a little bit longer, but as long as you get it down, then it’s fine, it doesn’t matter what process you use in terms of speed, what’s important is to get the book down into creating a nice cover, but sometimes if you’re not as advanced with the photo editing programs, with Photoshop, with illustrator, then you may not know exactly how to really create this.

So for our purposes I’m going to just go ahead and create it right here and we’ll just create a new layer, and I’m going to do it above the background for the time being, that way you can see how I do it, so the bars, the way I do it, is we’ll just do the bars like this, and we’ll just draw a rectangle, and once we draw the rectangle, we just color it in, ok? We’ll deselect that, and then what we can do is we can duplicate the layer, what we do is we move it over, ok? We move it over a certain amount, then what we’ll do is, we’ll either raise this or we’ll lower this, and then what you can do is now you can take two layers, and now you can duplicate it.

Now again, you go through this process, you can move them and align them and then slowly start adding and adjusting your size of these bars, ok?


That’s really what I’m going to do throughout and then I’ll show you how it looks, we’ll just continue the process, we’ll just now duplicate all of these, we’ll go ahead copy and paste them so you can see I’m getting a lot more layers now.

So now, you know, adding more bars, and then what I’ll do is I can stretch each one of these individually, make it a little higher, make it a little lower, that gives me the flexibility to really control how each bar looks in the process.

Now once I’m done, I can select these and then we’ll merge down some of these layers, so in this case, here what we’ll do is right click, and the you merge down and then it combines it, right click, merge down, right click, merge down, so now those layers are combined together, so it’ll become one layer, so what we’ll do is we’ll continue this process and do that until we merge all the layers together, and the quicker route is just to hit control E, and that will merge down the layers, so again, you can continue and finish out this process, so let me go ahead and do that and then show you what it looks like once it’s complete.


Alright so here I have my final layers here, as you can see each one of these are kind of twisted, rotated and resized, what I’m going to do is merge down all of them, so control E, now I have all these, control E, and you can see I went all the way to the edge, and that’s for the cutting purposes. So there we go, and what I want to do is again, I want to add that same effect, so I want to copy layer styles, I want to paste the layer styles and now we have that same effect added on to those bars, and one other piece of thing that I want to do that I didn’t add in before is go ahead and add the author name to the front cover, so we’ll go ahead and add that and we’ll go ahead and do it at about font size 44, this’ll keep it at our Gotham medium, so go ahead and move that a little to the left, so now I have the author name, I’m going to move it into the front text or the front cover and that’ll change that color for me, so now you can see how this book is really coming alive and coming together.


One last thing that I want to do for this cover is to add a little sun flayer or kind of like a starburst effect, and it’ll show you that it gives it a little something subtle. Of course you could use brushes, for example if you create a new layer and you just bump up your brush size and you want to just add a little lighter feel, so what you could do is add something like you know, like a little light effect right there, and a little light effect there, and that kind of gives it a little gradient feel or a little texture there. You could also do something with a regular brush, if we hit F5, go to the brushes, now what you can do is pick a brush that you downloaded for free off the internet or just, there’s a lot of brushes out there that you can just grab for free that people hand out, and you can go ahead and just, you know, add in something that gives it a little texture or some kind of feel that’s either grungy or maybe a starburst effect, something along those lines, but for this book I already know what I want to do, because I want something subtle, usually you don’t want to overdo these parts, it’s just to give it a little bit of a good feel, a little bit of a little subtle texture.


Here in our case what I’m going to do is hide this background, just so you can see, there’s an easy way to do it, and then there’s a harder way to do it, but there’s one way that always works for sure, and the way I’m going to show you is just easy, in case you don’t know Photoshop really well, just make a circle right here, if you want, and then what we’ll do is we’ll just go ahead and fill it in with some kind of color, doesn’t matter what it is, I’ll make a new layer right there, and then what I’ll do is I’ll go back to my brushes because I want to change this brush, go back to the default right here, and now my goal is to draw like a little triangle, so I’ll go from the center of this, I’ll go up nice and high to that corner, go up to the other corner and then go ahead and wrap it up. So now I have kind of like a triangle, what I’ll do is I’ll fill that with white, and now that I have that filled with white, what I can do is hide that circle, or go ahead and delete that layer, and what we’ll do is we’ll duplicate that layer, now we control T for transform, and we move the center axis down, and this is so it rotates around that axis. If I don’t have that, what I have to do is, it rotates around that center, and then what I would have to do is move it over, so you could do it that way as well, for our purposes, what we’ll do is, we’ll just move that center axis down, and then we’ll go ahead and rotate it a little bit, ok?


There we go, we rotate it a little bit, and now what we’ll do is we’ll duplicate these layers, two of them, and then we’ll do the same process, so control T, move the axis down, we’ll go ahead, kind of spin it around, give it a little starburst effect, and we can merge these layers down, so now you can see they’re all one layer, control E will do that for us, copy that layer, same thing, move that axis down to that point, and now we’ll wrap that around, it’s looking good, merge it down, and duplicate the layer, control T, go ahead put it down, and now you can see it’s starting to kind of come alive, in the sense that now you can start seeing that starburst coming together, and we want to do this one more time, put that axis right down there, spin it around, now we basically will have a full 180 or more than a 180 degree, 270 degree rotation, and that’s what we really want. So merge those layers together, so now we have one big circle, and it’s nice and big.


Now what I want to do is create a mask, and the mask is going to hide it, similar to the eraser tool, I’ll make that brush nice and big, we’ll go ahead and do about 20% so what I’ll do is I want to start fading the edges out, so my goal is really to get the edges fully gone, so that way it blends away into the yellow, so now what we’ll do is we’ll go ahead and blend that away, if you want to go to about 50% you can go ahead and do that just for quick methods or for quick blending away, so we’ll blend those edges, you can see that some of those edges are gone, there’s another way you can do it, it’s through a gradient, but for easy and simple sake, if you have just basic use, this way will work fine. We’ll bump that brush back down to 10% and now what I’ll do is I’ll just give it a nice little 10% cope to fade it out, you can do 20%, blend it away a little bit, click it multiple times, just slowly start blending it and fading it away, and you can see how it starts to kind of disappear there, so we’ll move it down here, and now you can see how that adds a nice little subtle texture.


We’ll do the same thing for the back, so we move that over, and now there we go, we have our little sun burst, if you need it stronger, you can just duplicate that layer, and you can see that it gets nice and strong, if you need it less strong, what you could do is remove some of that mask or just bump down that opacity and make it less strong, it just depend on the printing, because sometimes the printing makes it a little too strong or less strong, so you have to kind of gage, I find that between 20 and 30% is a good subtle place.

Now we’ll put back these covers, so now you can see how that adds a little bit of a nice little subtle to it. Now if I want to go ahead and put back some of this fill, because maybe it’s not strong enough, I can go ahead and make it white, make sure I’m on my mask, and now I start blending it back in, and you can see how that makes it a little bit more strong, and then we can bump down the opacity to subtle everything down, but again you can see how the edges blend down. We can do the same thing over here, again a little but blend it back, and then bump down the opacity, makes it a little less strong. So it just depends on your feel and what you’re trying to achieve.


There we go, that’s basically the book, it’s pretty much complete, if you’re looking to change the color a bit, or maybe the color doesn’t sit well with you, you can go to that color overlay and you can change it, you can go ahead and select the color, you can make it lighter, you can make it darker, you can change the tone, so if I wanted it maybe a blue texture, I can go ahead and do something like this, if I wanted it more of a dark texture, I could also go the other way and then change the color of the text.


In our example, here’s something different, if you want to go ahead and add your picture, so let’s say you want to add your face, now for me I don’t care too much about spreading my face across the books, but some people do and that’s perfectly ok, so let’s say what I want to do is add my picture here, or maybe on the side over here, so we’ll just put it in the middle right here.

The way to go about this is, we’ll go ahead and put that picture right there, and what I want to do is change that background color, what I can do is double click it, and I can go ahead and select a background color from my photo, and that way it matches, and you can see it’s not perfect, but what I want to do, let’s just hide some of these layers to make things easy, what I want to do is fade away thee edges, because you can see how that’s not very clean, I’ll go to my photo area, hit that mask tool, and then what I’ll do is I’ll blend it out again, so we can use like a 50% similar to how we did those other little starburst effects so we’ll blend that out, and bend it together with the background, so now you can see how that’s blending nicely together, ok? Make sure that the face is nice and strong there, go back and use the white, so now you can see how it kind of works well together.


Now since these starburst are a little bit strong, what I want to do is also make sure my photo is above them, ok? So now the photo is above that starburst layer, this could create some issues which we’ll fix here in a minute, but we’ll reduce the strength of the starbursts, we’ll go ahead and bump them down just because it’s on a whole different kind of color, ok? Yellow and white is a lot closer together than white and black, so we’ll reduce that strength for sure here, because the color difference is stronger, now you can see, there we go, it’s a little bit better blended, I still have a few edges right here, what I want to do is, I can go ahead and blend those out from the photo, and that should kind of help reduce that. We’ll put back all these different layers, so now you can see how that’s looking together.


I do like the positioning of the picture, but I don’t like the color of the text, so what we’ll do is we’ll go ahead and change it. And what we can do is actually, we can go to a full white, which will make it very strong, or we can actually go to something like a yellow, you know, that also will work as well, like a lighter color, you could go to a light green, you can go to blue, anything light will work, because it’s a darker background. We’ll stick with a yellow, since we were kind of on a yellow theme here earlier.

Now you can see how that’s coming together, looking a lot better, it’s kind of the inverse colors of the book that we were doing, but if you’re looking for a facial book cover, then this will work just fine, and then the next step would be to potentially reduce some of these front text things, so that way the face can go there.


What we’ll do is, we’ll select these layers right here, we’ll make that smaller, and then what I’ll do is I’ll move that down, so it goes right there, and then the same thing right here. What we’ll do is we’ll now reduce that top part as well, so that should reduce it quite a bit, and now we have something like this, and I can also move maybe the picture lower as well.

There you go, that’s a whole different kind of cover I just did very quickly and this one has a picture. Keep in mind you have the ISBN that’ll go on that lower left of the back side, that’s kind of how it’s going to look on the print out, if things don’t look good on the print out, then you make some adjustments a little bit here and there, but you can see we have a little space right here from the binding, we have space here on the left and right, we have a little space at the top that’ll be a little tight there, but we could reduce things and move things around. But overall, looks pretty good, so the last thing what we want to do is just file and save as, and we’ll do it as a PDF and you’re ready to upload.

I know if your skill set isn’t up to part with Photoshop or some graphic design software, that’s ok, just focus on making a nice solid title, good cover that actually attracts attention with a nice color, and you know, if you use some basic design principles watching those margins, you can still come out with a fairly good cover.

If you don’t want to spend the time on doing it, you can of course hire a designer, or hire someone to take care of it for you, but hopefully this gave you some little tips and things to watch out for when designing your book cover.
