Do you think it’s better to have the desire and motivation to run a business or to have smarts and intelligence to run a business (or start one)?
Let’s say you’re going to Florida or California. Using your intelligence, you decide to drive instead of fly by plane. As you’re driving, you pass through a few states and suddenly don’t feel like going anymore.
You don’t get to the end destination, even though the vehicle you’ve chosen is moving you forward quickly. Midway you say you don’t want to continue – you never end up reaching the final destination.
Take someone who doesn’t have a vehicle. They’re walking to Florida or California and have a huge motivation and desire to get there.
They may not have right skills, smarts, or intelligence (the ‘vehicle’), but they’re using their “Chevron-legs” (ha!) to get there. If they have those motivating factors to get there, then eventually they will…
If you have the smarts and intelligence to propel forward but don’t have the motivation, you’ll never get where you want to go.
Look in terms of the outer perspective. Are you constantly being motivated and driven to move forward in the ‘vehicle’ you’re in? Or are you constantly stopping halfway there?
