Hey it’s Sasha Evdakov and welcome to Backstageincome.com, where I show you how money is made behind the scenes for you and for your business. Now in this video, I want to share with you how to attract high-paying customers with the power of your book.
Revenue through sales of books
Now the majority of book authors are probably generating revenue or income through the sale of their books, whether that’s royalty or commission.

For example if this book was $10 I mean generate $4 and royalties every time this book is sold. Now that’s a great model to start out with but unfortunately you need to sell a lot of books, in order to really raise your income.

However, you have to start thinking of what’s next for what’s beyond that after they read that book, if you’re trying to attract higher value customers or high-paying customers. Think about it, what is your customer doing after they read that book or after they get some knowledge or insight from your book, what are they going to do?
Follow up on sales offer
Well in our case and situation those people may actually want to go ahead and go through the process of creating and building a blog business that makes them money, so they need to get their website setup, they need to register their domain, they need to get some of those things set up and get those things going.
In our case, what we do with this book is we have a promotion or offer towards the end of the book, where they can go ahead and purchase or video course that walks them through step by step on how to get their website up and running and start generating some basic income online.
Now it’s not going to make them a fortune but it gets them set up and gets them going, which is the purpose of this book and that would be the next step. If we wanted to take things further and at this point we don’t do this but if we wanted to take things further what we could do is offer a done for you service.
And so if they wanted to come to us and we were to create their website, we were to create their marketing material and get them really setup all for just a one-time fee, then could be another up sell service and this would bring in more high paying customers.
Whereas if we’re just focused on the book, if we’re just focused on selling books, our customer level and base stays at the same level. However once we start looking to take our customer further because we know and understand that they’re going to go to that next level.
Take your customers to the next level
Then we start adding offers with in the book and if you’re not doing this already on telling your customer, what would be the next step would be the next book to buy or what would be the next course to buy.
If you’re not already doing this or creating a service that they could go ahead and purchase from you, then you’re missing out a large part of the sale. Even if you’re selling your book and you’re selling one thousand copies and you only get one or two additional customers, just imagine the potential revenue that you could create from that.
For example you had a book that sold roofing services or said the nine secrets that most people miss out on when hiring a roofing contractor, so if you had that book and you just gave it away and you converted just one or two of those customers those could be ten and $20,000 dollar jobs.

Always think deeper on the long-term scale of what that can do if you start gathering your customers in taking down to that next level. That’s really what your book is going to allow you to do.
Whereas if you look at a blog just writing basic blog content, that’s at level 0, it’s just getting content and information out there. A book might take things a little bit further in the step process, it may also be free and this is why you see some of those books given away for free or free plus shipping offers and that’s an order to build more value and then you take them to the next level and then the next level and the next level.
You continue to take customers through a hierarchy of levels until nobody buys at the highest level. If someone is already purchasing at the highest level in your business then you can also create another level beyond that.
Wrap up
Therefore, constantly create higher and higher levels and higher and higher tiers, until you have no one buying at that highest level.
That’s really what you want to do when it comes to taking your customers to that next higher level and attract higher paying customers, is to go ahead and create promotional offers within your book so that way you can take them to the next level, help them out, add more value to them, add more services to them and create a win-win relationship.
You’re going to win because you’re adding more value to your customer and your customer wins because they save time and potentially the headaches in order for doing it or setting things up themselves, so you’re really just taking them through another layer or process in simplifying their life so creating that win-win relationship.
